Messages, Day 33: Take the inserts.

These should look familiar to my local readers.

  1. Not being from your locale, I need an explanation. Are we talking about cleaning up after dogs?

  2. ... and they do ... have had a good chuckle over them before.

  3. Actually, it's a local wine store. They put out boxes for people to take. Most of them have inserts to separate the bottles.

  4. What a delight your blog is! I came to it via our mutual interest in 'The Wheel on the School'. I loved your 'sock man' post but especially your many comments and observations about everyday life and thought from your neck of the woods.
In recent months and years - dating from the Bush presidency -I have become increasingly disillusioned with with the 'special relationship' which my country is supposed to enjoy with the US.
It is so good to read that your country has thinking, aware people like yourself at its heart.
Some years ago I visited new York and met so many wonderful people. It is good to know in these days of terrorism, wars, rampant capitalism and financial crises that at the heart of your country are people with compassion, lightness of touch and quiet insight. Thank you for restoring a little of my faith in your great country.

  5. Thank you very much, Tony -- Glad you're here!
