I've been Hit!

By a meme, that is, courtesy of Brian. So here goes. Nonbloggers, I may tag you too, so don’t skip this one!

The rules for this particular meme are as follows:Remove the blog in the top spot from the following list and bump everyone up one place. Then add your blog to the bottom slot. Easy, no?

1. Vince
2. Spider
3. Mr. Secret, Woe
4. Mr. Brian
5. The Subversive Librarian

Then you get to select five people to pass the love on to. This is the best part. Check the following blogs in the next day or two (or my comments, if they don’t have blogs) to see what they have to say about me and my meme.

1. Redneck Mother
2. The Velveteen Rabbi
3. James D.
4. Joey C.
5. Ms. Monkeythong

Joey and James, you can post your answers here, or send me an email and I’ll post it for you.

If I didn’t tag you, please feel free to consider yourself tagged anyway!

Now, answer the following:

Ha ha --sorry Ms. Librarian ma'am but I am not up with all the latest hip blog terminology.
Here are my responses, however. -- Joey

What were you doing 10 years ago?
Living in Athens GA...Hmm, checking old journal: apparently trying to make things work in my then-relationship, since there is no journal entry between 11/18/05 and 3/21/96. I mostly wrote in it when I was upset.

What were you doing 1 year ago?
Mostly, the same things I'm doing right now, except perhaps for feeling slightly less positive about life in general at that time.

    3. corn nuts

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:
    1. "White Christmas"
    2. "Amazing Grace" / the Melodivas version called "Grace" is my favorite though, since we sing "Saved a soul like me," instead of "wretch;" and "Taught my heart to sing"
    instead of "fear"
    3. ""Closer to Fine" - Indigo Girls
    4. "Boom Boom Ain't it Great to Be Crazy"
    5. "Speak to the Child"

    2. Staying up too late
    3. Not eating well
    4. Procrastination
    5. Not trusting my intuitions enough

    Five things you like doing:
    1. Camping/Hiking
    2. Going out to movies, dinner
    3. Jumping in the car on a beautiful day with someone else, and just going somewhere for the heck of it

    1. High heeled shoes --well I never really did in the first place
    2. School uniforms
    3. Mini skirts
    4. Leg warmers (yes, I had some. Electric blue. Went with the mini skirt. Ugh!)
    5. Blue eye shadow (ok it WAS the 80's, what more can you say?)

    Five favorite toys:
    1. Hmm... depends on who I'm playing with; but it's between me and her
    2. Bop-it Extreme
    3. Sand buckets/shovels
    4. Beyond Balderdash--well, it's a game but that counts, right?
    5. the new electric kazoos from Sharper Image, that the Melodivas are going to be playing at

Wow. I really liked your answers. Navajo Nation? That must have been fairly interesting.

I suppose I could have listed some religious songs on songs I know all the words to, too, but I was in the secular. I wasn't censoring, I swear!

  3. Wow, I don't know the words to any of those songs. In fact, I haven't heard of any of those songs. What's wrong with me?
